These cheeky helpers were removing the collard greens from their stems for our Sunday dinner. They thought it would be cute to take big bites for this photo. Little did they notice, mom was winning! Munching on raw greens by choice, amazing! Needless to say, I kept this photo shoot going for a bit to increase their daily intake of raw greens! I can’t tell you how many times I find them munching raw vegetables during meal prep. Cooking with kids is worth it. They become more invested in the end product, it gives them a sense of accomplishment, strengthens their little muscles, and sometimes the good vegetables they are preparing barely make it to the dinner table.
